Roadie is an intelligence platform for Twitch streamers, operated as a sole proprietorship in
Massachusetts, United States. In this policy “Roadie”,
“we” and “us” mean that operator, and
“the Services” means the Roadie dashboard at
dashboard.roadie.gg, the Roadie Twitch Extension, and this website.
Roadie is in closed beta and is available by invitation only. Two very different groups of people are described below, and the difference matters: streamers, who connect their own Twitch channel to Roadie, and viewers, who may use the Extension on a channel that has it installed.
This is the section most people reading this page want. The Roadie Extension appears as a panel on a channel that has installed it, and lets you search that channel’s clips and ask for one to be played on the broadcast.
Twitch gives the Extension a signed token containing an opaque user ID — an identifier Twitch generates that is specific to you on that one channel. It is not your Twitch username, not your Twitch user ID, and it cannot be reversed by us into either. The token also tells us which channel you are watching and whether you are the broadcaster or a moderator there.
That is all we get unless you choose otherwise. You can search clips, browse them, favourite them and request them without ever telling us who you are.
Some channels let viewers earn credits — for example by redeeming channel points — and spend them to put a clip on the broadcast. A credit has to belong to somebody, and an opaque ID cannot be matched to the account that earned it, so collecting credits requires linking.
If you ask to link, Twitch shows you its own consent dialog. If you accept, the token Twitch sends us begins to include your Twitch user ID, and we store it against your credit balance and the credits you spend. That is the only thing linking changes.
Linking is optional and it is never required to use the panel. We never ask for it unprompted — the request happens only when you press the link control yourself. If you decline, everything except credits continues to work, and we go on knowing you only as an opaque ID.
The Extension sets no cookies and uses no advertising or analytics trackers. It stores nothing in your browser to identify you, and it sends no data to any third party beyond the request to Roadie’s own server.
If you have not linked, we genuinely do not know who you are, so we cannot look up “your” data on request — there is no way to connect an opaque ID to a person who emails us. If you want your favourites removed, the practical route is to unstar them in the panel.
If you have linked, we hold your Twitch user ID against your credits, so we can find and delete that record if you ask. Email us with your Twitch username.
The public marketing website at www.roadie.gg uses Google Analytics to
understand visits and how people use the site. The Google tag can use first-party cookies
to distinguish visits and sessions, and sends website usage information to Google.
This tag is not installed in the Roadie Twitch Extension or the operator dashboard.
Beta request fields are sent to Roadie for responding to your request; we do not add your email address, Twitch handle, or message to analytics events.
When you connect a Twitch channel to Roadie, we collect and store:
This is the purpose of the product rather than a side effect: Roadie exists to hold the context about a community that a person cannot hold while running a live show.
If you talk in the chat of a channel that uses Roadie, your messages and public activity on that channel are stored by Roadie on that streamer’s behalf, under your Twitch identity. We act as a processor for the streamer here; they decide what is kept and what it is used for. Requests about that data are best directed to the streamer, and we will help them act on it — see section 6.
Indefinitely. Roadie currently has no automatic deletion of chat history, viewer activity or clip data, and we would rather say so plainly than imply a schedule that does not exist. The data is kept for as long as the channel is connected, and retained after disconnection unless deletion is requested.
When a channel or account is deleted, Roadie keeps an archived copy of that channel's activity log — who changed what in the dashboard and when, including the text of any notes edited — for legal purposes. It is not shown anywhere in the product and is read only when a legal matter requires it.
A published retention schedule is planned work, not a shipped feature. When one exists this page will say what it is.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for advertising. We do use these providers:
| Provider | What it handles |
|---|---|
| Twitch | Identity, channel data, chat and clips. Roadie is built on Twitch’s APIs |
| Railway | Application hosting and the database. Data is stored in the United States |
| Anthropic | Generating clip summaries and other written context from stream content |
| ElevenLabs | Transcribing clip audio |
| Resend | Sending email, including beta-request notifications |
| Stripe | Taking subscription payments and storing the card used for them |
We may also disclose data where the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of Roadie, our users, or the public.
Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete personal data about you, and to object to some processing. Roadie honours these requests regardless of whether a particular law applies to you.
These requests are handled manually, by a person, and there is no self-serve deletion tool yet. We aim to respond within 30 days.
Traffic is encrypted in transit. Twitch credentials are encrypted before storage, and access to production data is limited to the operator. No service can promise perfect security, and we do not.
We will update this page when our practices change, and move the effective date at the top. Material changes will be communicated to connected streamers by email.
