Twitch permissions

There are three ways to sign in to Roadie with Twitch, and each asks Twitch for less than the one before. None of them asks for anything about a channel: a streamer chooses what Roadie may do with the channel, in groups. Twitch shows you the exact list before you agree, every time.

Dashboard is for streamers and their moderators. It asks who you are and for what lets a moderator act as themselves in the channel they help with: sending chat, your emotes, chat moderation controls, pinning and stream markers. Everything else Roadie does for a channel uses the streamer’s groups, never a moderator’s approval. A streamer approves these once; Roadie does not keep a streamer’s copy.
Invited streamer is somebody setting up a new channel from an invite. It asks only who you are; you choose the channel’s groups while you set up.
Viewer site is a viewer signing in on a channel’s viewer site to see their tickets and prizes. It asks only who you are.

What you can do in Roadie depends on the access the channel gave you, not on how you signed in. Twitch sometimes groups several abilities under one permission; the last column says when that happens and what Roadie actually does.

Your channel’s permissions, by group

A streamer chooses these when setting up Roadie, and can turn any group on or off later on Account. Know your community and Channel points & giveaways are ticked to start. Each time Roadie asks Twitch, it asks for every group that is on, so you only see Twitch’s screen when you change something. A feature whose group is off is greyed out in Roadie and asks for its group when you open it.

You stay in control

You can disconnect your channel from Roadie at any time, and you can remove Roadie’s access from Twitch’s own Connections settings. Features that need a permission you have not given simply wait for it. How Roadie handles what it collects is in the Privacy Policy.
